Principal's Message
March Madness is once again upon us. One of my favorite times of the year! The weather starts to warm (hopefully?), spring training is underway, and let us not forget the endless games of basketball to watch. March madness could also refer to all of the fun activities going on at school this month. We have our PTO dance, after-school clubs, new school planning, and more!
During the month of March, we are inviting students to “march” around the school during recess. Students will walk around the school during recess, led by myself or other staff members. The purpose of “March with Meadow View” is twofold. First, it engages kids during recess with a healthy exercise activity with a variety of friends. Secondly, it keeps students engaged on the blacktop while we have our spring thaw (it will happen, right?). Students will be able to collect little plastic feet for their participation. We begin marching soon and I hope your child will enjoy “Marching with Meadow View.”
Through the long winter months, I have seen tremendous progress from our students. I know they are excited to share their growth with you. Don’t forget, on Tuesday, April 16 we will have a “Learning Celebration” to share the good work your child has done.
Finally, thank you for the work you do each and every day with your child that supports his/her learning. Paws Up!
Mr. Schreiber

PBIS Update
This month our PBIS focus is on kindness on the playground. Teachers and staff will be on the lookout for students who are being kind to one another outside at recess. If students are “caught being kind” they will have their name written on a heart to be placed on the Kindness Thermometer hung up in the hallway. As they earn hearts, our school will earn celebrations! The first incentive students are working towards is an all school Color Day where each grade level wears a different color. Students can even work their way up to the final celebration of a grade level movie! Be sure to talk with your kids about what they are doing to work on being kind on the playground.
Paws Up Wildcats!
In the month of February, we celebrated kindness! Students pictured here were awarded a PAWS UP award by their classroom teacher or specials teacher for always showing kindness to peers and teachers every day at school. Way to go, Wildcats!! (Not pictured: Lucy B., Danielle E., Ava B.)
Well Children Belong at School, Sick Children Belong at Home
We ask if your child is ill, that they stay home to limit exposure to other children. One problem for parents is deciding when your child is too ill for school. Click the Illness Guidelines below. This information is not intended as medical advice, but is merely designed to provide guidelines to be followed until your doctor can be contacted for their opinion.
