From the desk of Mrs. Humphries
Our kindergarten and first grade dance (Dance with Someone You Love) was a huge success this past Friday night! It was wonderful to see so many of our Gold Academy families having a great time! We couldn’t have done it without wonderful volunteers. A tremendous shout out and thank you to our staff members who helped decorate, and those who stayed for this event.
The week of February 10th was National School Counselor Appreciation Week. We let Mrs. Rouse know how much we appreciate her by many surprises that week.
Parent/Teacher Communication
The Gold Academy staff places a high priority on conference attendance. We are looking for 100% attendance and these can be in-person, by phone or by email. This is an important opportunity for parents to have discussions with our staff about their child’s progress. If you have already had your child’s conference, thank you for participating in parent-teacher conferences this month. We appreciate your continued partnership, commitment, and involvement toward your child’s success in school.
Vaccination Exclusion Reminder
As a reminder, students who are not up to date on vaccinations will be excluded from school starting on Tuesday February 21st. Another on-site clinic opportunity will be offered this upcoming Monday. We have included information in this newsletter if you would like an additional resource.

Weather - It's cold outside!
We have had many beautiful days, but our weather is changing. We will closely monitor temperature, wind chill and other aspects of the weather to determine inside or outside recesses. We are asking for your help in sending your student to school with plenty of warm clothes appropriate for outside time.
Hello Car Rider families
Thank you so much for your patience in line and for following our safety procedures! Because of you, our line runs smoothly and our students get in and out of cars safely. If you do not have a car number, please Parent Square, email, or call Mrs. Klein and I will assign you a number. Just a reminder, if you arrive at school at 7:40 or after, you will need to drop off your child at the front door (students can not be dropped off in the front before 7:40 a.m.) Please do not pull behind the buses during student arrival. Lastly, we appreciate the smiles you and your children bring each and every day and we look forward to a great second semester!!
