STUDENT RECOGNITION
Computer Science Team Success
Our Computer Science team got a perfect score on the programming test and came out second place on the district level. We were third in our region, behind Clement and Seven Lakes by 48 and 19 points, respectively. Official announcements haven't come out, but from what I've seen we will be moving into regionals as the wild card team. If we do, our students have a really good chance of making it to the state level. I've attached a picture of our team to this email and below are the name of our students. Let me know if you have any questions. Have an awesome Monday!

SOSA State Conference
We are starting the second day at the Texas HOSA State Conference in Round Rock, TX. Here are some updates:
AHS HOSA scholars will continue with their competitions this morning.
Hiba Fatima advanced to the second round in the Medical Spelling Competition. The attached photo shows her 'priceless' reaction when she learned she was advancing to the next level. Narsi Chokshi and Krishna Chokshi will compete this morning in Medical Math. I can only imagine the results of such promising scholars. The students are thrilled to be here, and they are gaining crucial skills. You are touching lives! Thank you for being so supportive.
DECA State Success
Congratulations go out to our very own Austin Bulldogs DECA students. Before spring break, the DECA students traveled to Dallas Texas to compete amongst 5300 DECA students from the State of Texas in various business competitions. We had 10 students that were top 20 in their categories and 8 of those will be advancing to participate in the DECA International Competition in Orlando Florida, where they will compete in April versus 20,000 plus students from across the world.
Top ten students were:
Ruhaan Faisal
Aarush Momin
Ayra Momin
Faizali Hajiani
Amynkhan Hashim
Zia Ali
Hanna Mohaweche
Lindsey Sou
Khue Nguyen
Shanaya Kabnur
Ayra, Faizali, Amynkhan, Zia, Hanna, Lindsey, Khue, and Shanaya
will be heading to DECA International Competition

As we plan, we wanted feedback from all FBISD parents/guardians about district communication through a survey. The principal's newsletter you were emailed contains that parent/guardian survey but I also have attached the link in this email.
