VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR INCOMING 7TH GRADERS
The state of Texas has set requirements for students entering the 7th grade. Immunization requirements are mandatory for school attendance in public schools. They are outlined in both the Immunization Requirements of the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Administrative Code.
Students will not be allowed schedules for middle school classes in August until vaccines are current and verification given to the school.
The requirements for incoming 7th graders are as follows:
- Meningococcal Vaccine -- one dose
- Tdap -- one dose within the last five years
- Varicella -- two doses on/or after the first birthday one month apart or voucher for disease
The Parker County Hospital District will be soon offering the required vaccines -- please see your campus school nurse for more information. Parent presence is not required for the student to have the necessary vaccines. Completion of the forms and signatures giving approval are required. No vaccines will be given without the proper authorization forms and current vaccination records.
Sincerely,
Weatherford ISD
Health Services Department

FREE DIGITAL AUDIOBOOKS THROUGH SYNC
What is SYNC?
How does it work?
SYNC uses the OverDrive app, which is available for most devices. Visit https://app.overdrive.com for more information about the app and instructions for downloading it to a device.
OverDrive app will store and play back the digital audiobooks you download, so your first step is to download the app.
Next, check out SYNC at http://www.audiobooksync.com and register to receive updates and alerts via e-mail and text.
When the digital audiobooks are available, they will be added to the Title Download page at the SYNC website. If you signed up for alerts, you’ll receive a message as soon as a new title is available.
Once the titles are added, you have seven days to download them to the OverDrive app.
When you are ready to download, click on the link for the book and provide an email address. SYNC will send a link to the digital audiobook file via email, which is used to download the book to the OverDrive app.
What books does SYNC offer?
