Smith Family Show Pigs and stock
Chad Smith and Family-Jamestown, Indiana--2 miles from I74
Our quick story....
Thanks for taking a minute to get a peek out our stock. We moved "back" to the farm over two years ago. After years of raising competitive livestock and farming, I headed off to college and then to work with the Walt Disney Company. Marriage and five kids later finds me as 17 years in educational administration and back to the farming life that is my passion.
We have built our herd on common sense fundamentals and progressive show pig industry standards. We still have miles to go but know full well this industry is full of some of the best people in the world and with such partnerships we will find our way.
Please contact me if you have interest in any that we are offering at this time. My best to you and your family as you prepare for this show season!

Berkshires
Our Berkshires are Sired by the Reserve Boar from Indiana, Bounty Hunter. The sow line was our top pick from Merrill Smith's herd last spring. Merrill has been at the Berk for 58 years and this litter demonstrates such dedication! Boar kept back for Springfield or an eager buyer.
Yorkshires
We purchased Jim's best bred gilt last fall. She had 12 unassisted, saved 10. Every pig is stout, square and the barrows will give way to true "clubby" look. Three gilts priced at three levels for a competitor at the national, state or county level. The sire, Attraction, is picture to the left.
Durocs---!!!
Shameless, the $54,000 sire of our Durocs is pictured to the left. This litter is flat good and getting better daily. Heavy in gilts that exemplify heavy structure, soundness and flare of muscle are ready for your pens. A boar is also being retained in this litter. All in on these red hogs!
Duroc
You can see from the pictures above, these Durocs have shape and are really good in the H junction.
