MJS Update
School Year 2021/22 Final Edition
Dear Community,
As we end our 2021-2022 school year, I want to take a moment to offer my sincere thanks to our students, families, and staff for their determination, hard work, understanding, and enormous flexibility as we successfully navigated another unprecedented year of education. Our community successfully and safely returned students to classrooms for a full day of learning this year, including serving lunch. I want to acknowledge the important role each member of our MJS community played in making this happen.
I want to thank our hard-working and caring faculty and staff, who have made a huge difference to our students this year. Their commitment is outstanding, and our students are the beneficiaries. Thank you for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for our students.
I wish our community members a happy, safe, and enjoyable summer. I look forward to seeing you in August. And to those students and families who are being promoted and leaving us for new places, we wish you all the best!
MJS PTO
Welcome to incoming Co-Presidents, Ms. Christina Notaro and Ms. Irene Rodin! A big thank you to our outgoing PTO Co-Presidents, Ms. McClelland and Ms. Melissa Waterstredt. Your service to the MJS community was greatly appreciated, and it was a pleasure working with you on our many events and projects throughout the year.

Summer Learning
Summer assignments at MJS are optional and will be woven into the introductory units of each class. Students may still complete these assignments over the summer if they choose.

Good luck to our MJS 8th graders as they move on in their educational journey into high school!
