Weekly ROAR REPORT
September 26th - 30th Trimester 1 - Week 4
CHS Seeds to Stewardship Program
Tillamook Jr. High’s Agriculture Program led by teacher Carrie Averill, in partnership with Food Roots, has received a $10,000 grant to expand our current hoop house. The grant was awarded through the CHS Seeds to Stewardship Program. This grant was ONE of only SIX awarded across the nation! The current hoop house will be expanded from a 20x50 structure to a 30x50 structure with tables along one wall and benches to support an outdoor classroom. This extension will allow students additional work space and the opportunity to grow their program. Thank you to CHS for recognizing TJHS’s thriving agriculture program and investing in our students!
