Mrs. Coonce, Rockbrook

Dyslexia/Literacy Interventionist

Hello! My name is Lora Coonce, and I am proud to be a Rockbrook Bear! I work with dyslexic students. As you can see from my educational background, I am also certified in Reading Recovery/Descubriendo la lectura and have taught various grade levels over the years.

I am finishing my doctoral degree (Ed.D) in Teacher Leadership with a focus on Response to Intervention so I spend most of my weekends in the library, researching and writing! I have two sons, ages 21 and 23, who are both in college, and I live in Carrollton.

For the past 16 years I have taught swimming lessons in May, June, and July at "Lora's Swimming School" at my house.
