ACE - Accelerated College Expereince
Requirements for students:
- Sophomore status (10th grade)
- 2.5 GPA or higher
- Free/Reduced lunch OR first generation within the family to attend college
How is this possible? The ACE program extends high school by one year. During their Junior year students complete 50% of the coursework at Lakeland HS and 50% at Oakland Community College. During their Senior year students complete only two courses at Lakeland HS and an increased load at OCC. During the final year (5th year Senior) students take a full schedule of college classes.
Interested in this opportunity and meet the requirements? Please contact your counselor for more information. For those students who qualify and are interested an informational meeting will be held in Lakeland's media center on February 3 at 10:00 a.m., during our seminar period.
