Focused on the interesting things and essence of LHS.

This theme is to show certain parts of students that go to LHS, and what makes them unique. This theme could really be beneficial when it comes to the photography section as we could take pictures from creative angles.

What makes the 'Heart' of the school?

To me I think it's the students and teachers. I think we should focus on the different personalities of students and teachers.

My Vision and Ideas

Taking pictures of my dog outside when the sun was just hitting him right, I found myself being intrigued and pulled in by the photo because of how much detail it had. So, what if we do this with people? We pick some sort of body part and focus on that instead of just the entire person. It may want kids to participate more knowing their whole face wouldn't be in the yearbook, but just a part of them instead.

Front Cover

Something along the lines of focusing a picture along the handle of the pitchfork, and having "The Farmer" in a pop out sort of font.

For Divisions, a quote that goes with each kind of division.

Obviously that has something to do with focusing or following your goals.

In the Academic Section

  • “That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”

-Steve Jobs

  • As photos go for each division, something that is abstract we could focus on. Possibly blurred photos or different angles.
  • I think we could also incorporate as part of our "focus" on LHS, trying out and experimenting with colorsplash photos.

Color Pallete

Blues and Earth Tones, and obviously Maroon. But maybe the designs could be more simple and less intricate. Less is more!
