Having been a student in the district, I always wanted to return to my community to give back and being able to teach Special Education in my hometown is even more rewarding.
A long term goal I am working toward: A part of my 5 year plan is to get my doctorate in either administration or curriculum and instruction.
Role model or someone who has had a great impact on my life: Polly Guilbeaut was my teacher in high school in the Preschool Teaching program. She instilled a love of teaching in myself and helped me find what my passion in life was.

Being able to perform with my 7th grade drum set student last year for the spring concert. The background to this goal is that this particular student was heavily singled out by his teachers and was always getting in trouble. this student also hated school just like me as a middle schooler. I feel I was able to provide him someone he could work with that understood him and his situation along with showing the school how talented he was.
A long term goal I am working toward: To always give students a chance no matter whether it be in music or in life and to be that person that can provide a listening ear to the students who find school a tough place to come to.
