The real reason we sleep
While most of us don't really think about why we sleep, it's because it keeps us alert and ready for the day so then we are able to sleep good again the next night. Some people say that when it is a thunderstorm it's "good sleeping" maybe for some people, but there is a good reason why we sleep so well.
At the end of each day, we become unconscious and paralyzed, when ancestors slept it made them vulnerable to being attacked by wild animals. People tend to think of sleep as a time when you can shut down and not have to worry about anything, but it is not the case, it is an active period where important processing, restoration, and strengthening goes on.
