Proration - Support Staff
After the meeting a survey was sent, upon reviewing the survey results (see below), it has been decided that staff who are currently prorating, will be grandfathered in. Anyone not currently prorating, along with any new hires would not be eligible to prorate going forward.
For employees who are interested in ending proration of their pay, HR is available for questions and will have instructions on how to set-up direct deposit to "self-prorate" in the May Chip Chirp.

Teachers Planning to Retire in 2020?
What this means for those retiring is that rather than receiving a large lump sum pay out in June of 2020 and being taxed differently on this check, you could spread your contract out over the nine months in which you work (September - June). This is completely optional and merely a suggestion for those considering retirement in the 2020 year.
