An idiom is a saying that you don't really mean like the saying, It's raining cats and dogs,it doesn't really mean cats and dogs are falling out of the sky, it just means it's raining really hard.Idioms are useful because they make sentences fun especially in stories.Other examples of idioms are: pie in the sky, catch a cold, and cat got your tonge.
