Big picture

Taylor High School staff members were named Fundamental 5 National Summit presenters.

Assistant Principal Tamika Mayes and Social Studies Specialist Kydra Hubbard are the presenters for one of the conference's breakout sessions. They will present on "How to Use the Effective Schools Framework to Implement the Fundamental 5."

The Fundamental 5 are the instructional practices that help make learning stick and can be used for all grade levels in any classroom with any subject. The Fundamental 5 represents the first line of defense in intervention strategies for struggling students while also positioning academically stronger students to achieve at levels previously beyond the collective imagination of the profession. The Fundamental 5 National Summit is hosted by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and Lead Your School.

Congratulations to the following Alief ISD staff members, whose DonorsChoose.org projects were funded!
