STEM Stories

Students in Ms. Figueroa's Physics class practiced what they've learned about forces of motion in an egg drop. They designed their egg carriers and tested their prototypes on Wednesday. Then they edited their designs and re-tested their devices on Friday!

Las Noticias de Spanish Immersion

Spanish Immersion students and staff helped make the 100th Anniversary a multicultural affair! Students led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance in both English and Spanish, students modeled dresses from Spanish-speaking countries, and the Spanish Immersion teacher team contributed a basket to the lottery!

Order Your Yearbook Today!

Swann 2021-2022 yearbooks are now available to purchase! If you are interested, use the order form your students received in class or visit and use order code YB104393. Yearbooks cost $18 before April 1st and $20 after. The final deadline to order is April 15th.

No-Cost School Meals

The federal waivers that allowed all schools to serve free breakfast and lunch to all students are ending this summer. To ensure that students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals are able to receive those meals on the first day of school, we are asking parents to fill out the application at or get a paper form from the front office. This will establish a family’s qualifications for meal discounts for the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year.

A new application must be completed after July 1 for the remainder of the school year. Paper copies of the form are available through your child’s school.

Every morning, students who have earned Den Dollars for their positive behaviors can shop in the Roar Store. Single-serve bags of Takis, chips, and Hot Cheetos, and Gatorade are especially popular! We would also love Sonic or Wendy's gift cards to use for providing special rewards. Contact Dr. Bocci if you have questions at
