Disneyland

The impact on American Life and society

The Dream .

A man named Walt Disney had a vision, a place where woman and children could have a place to have fun, and so he came up with the idea of a park called Disney Land. His dream lay low for many years until 1953 did the dedication and construction begin. On July 17, 1955 did Walt Disney's dream become a reality where parents and children could finally have a place to be amused and have fun together .

- Walt Disney words when Ronald Reagan introduced him

"To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts which have created America ... with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."
