Veteran's Day Celebration

It is with great pride that I share with you information regarding our upcoming Veteran's Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11th. Please see the flyer attached to this email containing more information. We will be having a breakfast for Veterans and their guests, an assembly, and a chance for Veterans to visit classrooms. If you know a Veteran who would be interested in attending, please fill out this form so that we can compile a list of all those attending. Please see our website for more information.

Virtual College Fairs

I know what you're thinking. "Jay. Our kids are in the Intermediate School. Why would we even think about college now." Well, I would tell you it's never to early to start thinking about the future. I have permission from Virtual College Fairs to share this link with you. If you are interested, feel free to check it out.

First 5th grade band notes

It's not often that we can hear a band from it's beginnings, but we are the lucky ones. Mr. Jupp, our band director, recorded the first two notes of their full band practice, and here it is! I can't wait to hear this group progress throughout the school year.

Box Tops Collection

Our yearly Box Tops collection has changed this year. Our contest will be going all year long instead of just having two collections. There are monthly contests for grade levels and families. Make sure you take a look at the flyer that was included in this email for more information.

Beyond the Bake Sale

Last night we had our first discussion of Beyond the Bake Sale. It was a rich conversation with both parents and staff. I look forward to continuing this reading journey. It's not too late to join! We'll be be having our next discussion some time during the week of October 26th. Just let me know if you're interested in joining us. I promise to not give out too much homework!
