Gators of the Week: We the People Team Crowned State Champion!!

Work hard. On Friday this past week our We the People American Government competition team competed against other state teams in the annual competition. This year the competition was held at River Bluff for the first time. For the third year in a row the team was crowned State Champion. They will now travel to Washington DC in the spring for the National Championship.

Gators of the Week: Report Cards Issued on Monday

Get smart: We are so proud of the achievements of our students this semester and encourage parents to review their student's report cards on Monday after issuing.

Gators of the Week: Student Led Family Conferences

Do good. Students in 9th, 10th and 11th grade this week will present their digital portfolios to their parents emphasizing evidence and support toward their Habits of Scholarship. This annual event is so important in the life of our school and each student.

Free Peer Math Tutoring

Beginning Monday, October 2, free math peer tutoring will be offered in the Counseling and Advisement Commons at the following times. Again, this is free and no appointment is necessary.

Monday and Wednesday

7:10-8:10 am

Tuesday and Thursday

3:45-4:45 pm

Signing Out Procedures

A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.

Counseling and Advisement Assignments for Students

Counseling and Advisement Team

The Counseling & Advisement team is working towards a more intentionally focused program to provide students with the best support. Rather than counselors having students in all grade levels (9-12), we are realigning to be able to more appropriately serve students’ transitional needs at the different levels. This realignment will also more closely mirror our CREW design allowing students to stay with their school counselor their 9th and 10th grade years and then have another counselor their 11th and 12th grade years.
