OJHS House System
Four Houses, One School-One Community
Oakwood Junior High School House System
House Names
Something that is a foundation of the house system is that we are several teams that share a common foundation and goal. Below are the house names, in different languages from different cultures. The names all have the same meaning: KNIGHT! Each house will learn more about their own culture and build on character traits. Each house will also have an adopt-a-spot around the school to help maintain.
Each House will have a seventh and an eighth-grade homeroom.
Each House will be titled "Knight" in another language.
Chevalier - French (Order of Delegge, Order of Leeman)
Ridder - Dutch (Order of McCune, Order of Fritz)
Ksatria - Indonesian (Order of Peterson, Order of McGee)
Lovag - Hungarian (Order of Parker, Order of Sheehan)
