Thank you for helping us make Sci://Tech science festival such fun. There were many students and families that were able to attend. Special shout out to Mrs. Murphy, our science festival coordinator for Giesinger, and our staff for attending this event and supporting our students.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this week at our annual Giesinger Game Night. this is a free event. Our general PTO meeting that was planned will be rescheduled.

We are doing something different where the whole family will have some fun. We will be in our cafeteria and play BINGO. Papa Johns pizza will be available for purchase if you would like to have dinner while playing. Pre-orders are available. Invitations went home last week and will go again in Tuesday folders. Doors open at 4:30. Games start at 5:00.

We have seen an increase in students using their Smart Watches during the school day causing a disruption. There have been instances where students are accessing the calculator, taking pictures/videos, or accessing their watches during instructional times causing a disruption in the classroom. Many devices have a parent setting where these features can be turned off during the day. Please read Giesinger's policy below on accessing personal cell phones or electronic devices at school. Thank you for your help with this!

Giesinger Elementary permits students to possess personal cell phones/electronic devices for safety purposes. These devices must remain turned off and stored in the student's backpack during the instructional day. The use of any device (including smart watches) that has the capability to take pictures or audio/video record is prohibited for use during the school day. Electronic devices that are used inappropriately will be collected and parents will be contacted to pick up the item(s).
