Parent Input Forms for 2023-2024
It is hard to believe but it is that time of year to begin preparing for next year. Parents wishing to give input about their child for the next school year are asked to pick up or request a PARENT INPUT FORM from the office. These forms are due back to school by April 15th.
These forms along with our work as a school team help us to develop balanced and productive classrooms. All input forms must be submitted to the office at either campus by April 15th. Late forms will not be considered.
March Parent/Teacher Conferences
The second round of conferences are just around the corner….
Thursday, March 2nd from 3:00-7:00 PM
Monday, March 6th from 3:00-7:00 PM
The conferences offer a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss student progress and to plan for the future growth of each child. They also provide the chance to discuss any teacher or parent concerns. We look forward to this opportunity to continue working in partnership with you to enhance the education of our students!
All conferences will be in person or you can choose virtual again this spring.

March Classroom Lessons
We are finishing up our last month of lessons on social skills. In April and May, classroom lessons will focus on career and job skills.
During March guidance lessons-
Kindergarten students will identify fair ways to play, which include sharing and taking turns.
First-grade students will learn strategies to handle teasing. We will focus on using the debugging system and “I messages”.
Second-grade students will be able to identify the size of their problem and if they can solve it on their own or need adult assistance.
Third-grade students will learn strategies to help them handle teasing.
Fourth-grade students will learn about bullying and how to stand up for others.
Fifth-grade students will learn the consequences of gossip and what to say and do when they hear gossip. Fifth-grade students will also be receiving information about how to open combination locks to prepare them for middle school.
Combination Locks—All 5th-grade students will have an opportunity to learn how to use combination locks. They will be using combination locks on their lockers next year in middle school. This is optional (since some students already have experience with combination locks) and will be offered during recess time in late March.
Please contact us if you have any questions!
