CP boundary adjustment meeting 9/14
September 9, 2022
Review proposed attendance boundaries and provide feedback
The meeting for Champlin Park cluster schools takes place Wednesday, Sept. 14
This message is being sent to parents and guardians with students who attend Champlin Brooklyn Park Academy, Dayton, Evergreen Park, Monroe and Oxbow Creek elementary schools.
With enrollment growth in portions of the district - Blaine, Champlin and Dayton - attendance boundary changes are needed to balance student enrollment to ensure operational efficiencies and quality education for all students. Anoka-Hennepin Schools is coordinating a process for public review and input into draft proposals, which would be approved by the school board in November and put in place for the 2023-24 school year.
Changes are proposed primarily at the elementary level, but also at the middle school level in the Blaine area. There are no other middle school or any high school attendance boundary changes being proposed. Draft proposals and feedback will be presented at the Sept. 26 school board meeting.
The School Board is seeking feedback prior to decision making. Attend a community meeting on Wed., Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at Champlin Park High School to review draft proposals, discuss considerations with school and district leaders, and provide feedback for school board consideration as new boundaries are finalized. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a brief presentation, which will also be streamed live at ahschools.us.
