Eucharistic Revival Update

March 2023

The Eucharistic Revival is Gaining Momentum as We Head Toward the Parish Year!

What a wonderful first year we have seen as the Eucharistic Revival gains momentum in our diocese and across the country! In the Rochester diocese, we have witnessed many successful regional Eucharistic events, Adoration has grown as a devotion around the diocese, over 100 youth attended a retreat focused on the Eucharist, and creative opportunities continue to be offered in every corner of our 12 county region including Eucharist-focused VBS programs! In what ways are you witnessing growth in devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist? As we move toward the start of the Parish Year, state and national efforts are growing, so there is much to tell you about! Please read through this Eucharistic Revival update for the latest news!

This October (20-22, 2023), thousands of Catholics across New York State will gather at Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, NY to take part in our NYS Eucharistic Congress. This collaborative event, hosted by the dioceses of New York State, will offer 40 hours of Eucharistic Adoration, keynotes, prayer opportunities, fellowship and a Mass with Cardinal Dolan. The event will be free and open to the public. We are inviting all parishes to consider making a pilgrimage on October 21 with individuals, families, young adults or youth groups. National speakers and NYS speakers will be present and it will be an excellent opportunity to engage your parish in the second year of the Eucharistic Revival known as the Parish Year! Lodging is available for those who would like to stay for the weekend! Details will continue to be made available on our site, and at
