W.A.G. Week at a Glance @ Futures
light version 1.20.15
Happy Tuesday!
Welcome back and have a great week. I will be consulting this afternoon with Rachel so as of this moment I do not have information on our PLC tasks.
Just a heads up: I will be out a lot this week due to meetings etc. If you need immediate action on discipline please be very clear and tell Evodia that you need help. Just a reminder: text messages to me should not be about safety or discipline as I may not see them on time.
Last week there were an average of 12 calls/ and or referrals per day for discipline. An example: on Friday there were 6 referrals and 6 other calls that were intercepted by Gloria or Peacemakers.
That's only one per teacher, really, but it adds up. Please remember: follow the hierarchy of time out, etc. When we get that volume of calls I get very behind, as each referral takes an average of a half hour of my time to really process it correctly.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: Maleni recently met with me and we decided to move grade 5 to 1:50-2:35 for Fitness. Grade four will remain the same. We realize this will impact afternoon recess somewhat but we want to improve the fitness experience for both grades.
A shout out to grades 3-5 teachers : thank you for getting students at 12:03 last week,
Deliverable items due now: Last week's NNN tracker was due to Evodia on Friday. She is keeping a list of those turned in.
Extended until Friday: your January newsletter or calendar or letter to families. Please submit electronically or hard copy. I am also late on mine, so I feel it is only fair to extend your deadline.
