Message from Principal Newman
Hello Mohawk Parents,
I hope everyone is doing well. If you are having difficulty opening up the attachments in this newsletter scroll to the top of the newsletter and click to open it in a web browser.
We hope that you are enjoying this winter weather and staying warm. We have had a lot of exciting things happening at Mohawk. This next month brings a lot more fun activities at the school. Make sure to check out the calendar below for all of these events.
If you need a new carpool sign for your car, please let your child's teacher know so we can get you one. Also, please try to avoid parking on Mimosa right across from the school facing north during dismissal times so that carpool can flow smoothly and does not cause traffic issues.
We are better together!
Principal Newman

The Kids Heart Challenge is about to begin. Students will learn more about it next week. This is so you will be in the know if interested. The kickoff starts Monday 1/30.
At the end, Monday 2/27, we will have our school-wide jump rope competition. More info to come.
Participate in Kids Heart Challenge
Kids Heart Challenge is coming soon! Mohawk Elementary School is joining forces with the American Heart Association by participating in KIDS HEART CHALLENGE (KHC). Students will be excited to “Slay the dragon of heart disease and stroke!” with our team of Heart Hero dragons and by participating in KHC they are Being the Torch, as they shine their light towards ways our community can be healthier. Also, your family will have the opportunity to learn hands-only CPR through Finn’s Mission!
Bonus Fun!
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help people with special hearts! To celebrate, we're hosting a special breakfast for our top 10 fundraisers, and the top fundraising classroom will get a free PE activity day! We're also recognizing our Finn's Mission lifesavers with their chance to be drawn to be our Coach for a Day!
