Update from Principal Boyd
September 23, 2022
From Principal Boyd
Parents - Have you been in contact with your scholar's teacher about their progress in school this year? Research shows that parent engagement in schools is closely linked to better student behavior, higher academic achievement, and enhanced social skills.Parent engagement in schools is defined as: parents and school staff working together to support and improve the learning, development and health of children and adolescents.
It is so important that our scholars know that we are working together to support them.
Donuts with Grown-Ups
Thank you to those parents who were able to make our first PTA sponsored event, Donuts with Grown-Ups. It was so good to see so many parents in the building.
Town Hall Meeting
I would like to host a Town Hall at Esther Jackson on Thursday, 10/6, from 8:00 - 9:00. The purpose of this meeting is to have face time with parents and to answer any questions you may have about school. This can include safety, staffing, student behaviors, and/or other topics brought forth by parents. In order for this meeting to be successful, I'm asking that parents submit questions ahead of time using the link below. This will allow me to ensure that I have a response to each question. The meeting will be recorded and a link will be emailed to all families. In addition, I will develop a Q & A that will be shared with families as well.
Please use the following link to provide questions that you would like for me to address at our Town Hall Meeting. https://forms.office.com/r/PbP0bxX9Nw
Questions should be submitted by Monday, 10/3.
Parents, your voice matters!
Picture Day
