An introduction into the Indie world...
Indie Rock is a sub-genre branching out from the genre Rock and alternative. The genre originates around the 1980s in the UK and US. The genre was born after artists decided the label "alternative" was too broad and didn't quite match the laid back approach most indie bands have, and the desire to keep out of the mainstream movement.
Indie music videos all tend to be shot in the same fashion; with close up shots of lead singers that are the most recognisable and well known member of the band, usually an urban setting or concert/ gig and very little editing. Most Indie artists dress in the same way, usually wearing casual clothing that are dark colours.
