Thank you for your ongoing support. | Reporting an AbsenceDear Benignus Elementary Families, Welcome back to Benignus Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year! Beginning this year, Klein ISD will now allow parents to enter absence requests through Skyward. By using your Skyward Family Access account, you will now be able to report your student(s) absence electronically and save time by turning notes or calling in to the attendance office. This tool can be used if your child will be absent all day, or if you choose, you can designate specific times during the day that your child will be absent in the event of a doctor’s appointment or early release. If your student(s) is/are under the care of a medical professional, you can still use this process to report them absent for the days they were under doctor’s care and then submit the medical note upon your student(s) return to school. If you forget to send a note in, you can also use this system to report an absence up to five school days in the past. You can also report an absence for a future date. The instructions for entering a student absence can be found on the back of this letter, as well as on the Klein ISD webpage under Skyward Family Access. Klein ISD is committed to the partnership with our community members. If you have any questions or feedback regarding this new process, do not hesitate to contact us. We hope that you find this process a more efficient way to communicate an absence with the attendance office. I wish you all a fantastic school year!
