When and What happened?

The Battle of Palo Duro Canyon took place on September 28, 1874. Texan raided and burned down Native American camps. THey took all of their supplies and captured 1,424 horses and mules. They left them with near nothing giving them not long to live. In early November most tribes were moving to the reservations.

Who was there?

Comanche , Kiowa , and Cheyanne tribes were attacked. They were attacked by a group of Texans led by Colenel Ranald S. Mackenzie. Quanah Parker's tribe surrendered in June of 1875.
