Physical Heath
Cheer leading requires an amount of physical strength just like any other sport. It works your body and pushes you just like volleyball or softball would. Cheer leading can affect your body in a good way, it promotes healthy strong bones. When you jump you are using your knees and your joints this pushes your bones in your body and the joints along with them and promotes stronger bones. Cheer leading also increases your heart rate and your cardiovascular endurance, by running tumbling jumping and cheering for your team its a great excersize. It also helps boost your flexibility, because you are stretching and moving joints more often than you would on a regular day.
Cheer Has More To Offer
Social, Mental And Emotional Health
How Does It Work? Social Health
As being apart of the " squad " you are becoming a team. But not only that but you are growing as a family.
By joining any sports team or any team or group you are working on how you interact with people. The way you talk and how you present your self. You can open up to people and learn how to trust, and be apart of something that will allow you to grow as a person. You will learn how to interact with people, being apart of a team.. if you are not a very social person can seem like a scary thing, but once you try it you will learn to love it, having each others backs and knowing that you can count on your team is the best feeling in the world.
Mental And Emotional Health
Like I mentioned with Social Health you are growing as a team, and as a family, you have people around you who have your back and who will help you through hard times. Team bonding will help you get through the rough things in your life.
Being apart of something that people look at as, fun and little girls who inspire to be like, you are setting yourself up as a role model for little girls and representing your school. It can help you move past tough things in you life and push you to be a better person.
