Music News

As the year winds down, the music students are preparing for their final performances. All 4-6th grade music students will perform at each school for an afternoon primary grade assembly: San Miguel on April 30 at 2pm, Mark West on May 3 at 11am, and Riebli on May 6 at 1pm. Advanced guitars/violins, band, and chorus will perform for their peers at a district-wide morning assembly on Tuesday, May 7. And finally, advanced guitars/violins, band, chorus, and Mark West Charter strings ensemble will perform at the annual Music for Schools Instrument Drive at Montgomery Village on Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. Parents are welcome to come to any of the performances. Just check in as a visitor at the school offices for the school assemblies.

All borrowed instruments must be returned after your child's final performance. Also, music books for violin and band students must be returned as soon as possible. Replacement costs for lost or damaged books are $10 for violin and $7 for band books.

Class placements

Class placements for the upcoming year are such an exciting time! At Riebli, we do not take teacher requests but we do work extremely hard to make sure each student is in the very best place for his/her learning. We take into account academic levels, social interactions, learning styles, friendships, and any and all other information we can gather to make the best classes possible. We strive to make balanced classrooms full of students who love learning! If you have any extenuating circumstances that may require further assistance, please email Mrs. Todd at etodd@mwusd.org and she will assist you.
