A Note from our new principal
Thank you for a great start to our new school year!
Mr. Fidan
Important information for the start of the school year
Arrival and dismissal
Arrival procedures
The numbers indicate staff members who will be stationed in multiple areas to help during the arrival process. Students will not be dropped off at the front of the school. All parents should proceed to the back of the school. Team members will direct your students where they need to go.
All traffic must exit to Eagle Ford Dr. We recommend stopping in our visitor parking spots if you need to visit the front office.
Students CANNOT be dropped off outside of our gates either on Camp Wisdom Road or on Eagle Ford Drive. There are major safety concerns and there will be an increased police presence in the area.
Finally, we will have ALL students head to Cafe 118 in the morning until the HSI -- Grand Prairie campus has officially moved out of Cafe 123. Please do not drop off by the cafeteria; instead drop off in the back.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Dismissal procedures
For those of you returning to our campus, please note the changes from last year.
The numbers indicate staff members who will be stationed in multiple areas to help during the dismissal process. Students CANNOT be picked up at the front of the school or outside of the gates. All parents should proceed to the back of the school and we will direct your students to you.
The outside lane and inside loading lane will be used for pick up. The middle lane must be kept clear until your student(s) are loaded in your vehicle and you are ready to leave.
All traffic must exit to Eagle Ford Drive. We recommend stopping in our visitor parking spots if you need to visit the front office.
Students CANNOT be picked up outside of our gates either on Camp Wisdom Road or on Eagle Ford Drive. There are major safety concerns and there will be an increased police presence in the area.
Finally, students must be picked up on time. Adult supervision is limited. We do offer an after school program called Zenith, if you need to make arrangements for late pick up.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Cell phone policy
Students using their cell phones will have them confiscated and they will be given to the front office. Any student refusing to give a cell phone or other electronic device to school staff shall be subject to disciplinary penalties in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Parents will be required to come in and sign paperwork to retrieve the phone. Students cannot sign out their own phones. Please note that the use of camera phones for recording is strictly forbidden on the school premises at any time.
Meal Account Balance
Nutritious meals are available daily for a price of $1.70 for breakfast, $3.00 for lunch, and $0.50 for a la carte milk. Each student is provided a lunch account on to which money may be deposited. Households are encouraged to set up an account in School Cafe (www.schoolcafe.com) to view meal balances, make a payment, set low balance alerts, and schedule automatic payments. Payments may also be made in the school office.
Should a student’s meal account balance fall below $0, he /she will be allowed to charge up to -10 $ DISTRICT LIMIT. Once the negative meal account balance limit is reached, the student will receive an alternate meal. Alternate meals consist of cereal, fruit, and milk for breakfast; and for lunch, a sandwich, vegetable, and milk. If a student is later approved for free meals, he/she will begin receiving meals immediately. However, the household is still responsible for paying the negative account balance.
