The Halloween activities on Friday were wonderful to experience. It's events like these that bring the school community together to help create a strong sense of belonging for our students! So many smiling faces!

As I visit classroom, I continue to be impressed with the high engagement of students in learning activities and depth of student thinking at all ages! Here is a reminder of simple questions we can ask students to ensure they they are thinking deeply and purposefully about their learning:

Lockdown Drill

We will be having a lock down drill the week of November 9th. Please review lockdown/emergency response procedures with your students this week. They are posted to the file area of the Joyceville group site in the staff handbook - school safety folder. Let me know if you would like a paper copy. Information is going home to parents with the school newsletter.

IEPs will not be sent home yet, unless we have a parental request or you wish to send one home. As you update IEPs for your students for Term 1, please remember that Spi is available for consultation and assistance. As well, please let me know if there is any way I can assist you with the completion of Term 1 IEPs. Also, please remember that for students with modified expectations in a subject, progress indicated on the Progress Report is based on progress towards meeting expectations as outlined in the Term 1 IEP.
