NEW FRONT OFFICE PROCEDURES!
Miss Kathy will be available in the front office for Spanish Translation during the following hours:
Monday- Thursday from 8am-2pm.

We have a new security system in our front office. When you enter the front doors you will see a box next to the entrance of the office. Please push the button and one of our office staff will ask for your ID to be shown and who you are visiting or picking up at the school. Once your ID is shown they will be able to buzz you in.

Thank you so much to all of the parents who came into the book fair and donated reams of paper for our contests! We are so thankful to have such supportive families here at Advantage Arts Academy!

Advantage Arts Academy Picture Day
Advantage Arts Academy picture day will be on Wednesday, September 7.
This will be a uniform picture day, NOT FREE DRESS.
FALL CARNIVAL
Our fall carnival is fast approaching and we are looking for silent auction donation items. Here's' what we are looking for:
- Items to be put into baskets
- Art from local artists
- Gift cards
- Services, such as, piano lessons, dance lessons, art classes, karate classes etc.
4th Grade Recorders
4th Grade students will be learning to play the recorder this year starting mid September. Thank you to those who have already turned in their recorder money. Recorders are $7 and can be turned into your teacher or to the front office in the form of cash or check. Please have checks written out to Advantage Arts Academy. If you are unable to purchase a recorder, please let your teacher know.
Strings Ensemble Club
We are so happy to continue our Strings Ensemble Club (Previously Violin Club) where your student will learn either violin, viola or cello. You can signup today by emailing bmeline@advantagearts.org for grades 3rd thru -6th. The cost will be $40 per semester.
The beginner club will be held on Thursday after school until 4:15pm
The intermediate club will be held both Monday and Wednesday after school until 4:00pm.
First days of club will be September 7th and September 8th
September 7th for intermediate club. (Pickup at 4:00)
September 8th for beginner club( pickup at 4:15)
Instrument Rental Night Tuesday August 30th, 4:00-6:00 pm in the Library
Summerhays music will visit the school to let your students try out the violin, viola and cello for themselves. Once students know what they want to learn, they are there to help rent an instrument.
Come get to know the instruments and teacher, as well as see the other students who will be in the club.
Harassment info:
One of the bills passed by the state legislature this past Spring requires each LEA to send, by September 1 of each school year, “a notice to each student, parent, and LEA staff member stating the LEA’s commitment to maintaining a school climate that is free of harassment and discrimination.

If you are looking to make any donations to our library there are many ways you can donate funds or books to the library.
1: You can bring new or used book donations into the front office of Advantage Arts Academy.
2: You can find our Advantage Arts Academy Library wish list through Amazon at the link below and purchase books directly from Amazon. You can choose from there to have to books shipped directly to the school or ship them to you and bring them into the office.
