Message from the BSOEPA President

Dear Members,

I want to thank the Board for giving up two and a half hours of their time to have an additional Board meeting in December. We all know how busy that month was and I am thankful that they agreed to have that meeting so that we could work on a very full agenda. We worked on a meeting covenant, the holiday party, By-laws, budgets and the member survey, just to name a few things.

Our goal is to bring you interesting programs, fun workshops and a place where you can all share your gifts and talents to enrich our society. So if you haven't already, make sure that you take a few minutes to take the membership survey--it's only 11 questions! You can fill it out here if you haven't already:

We will be giving away the contents of the Bead Jar at our February meeting. If you submitted beads to this jar throughout the year, please email me at if you contributed and your name will be entered in the drawing!

We want to start thinking about Summer Challenge ideas. Begin brainstorming so you can share your thoughts with us. The official voting will take place in May, but you can begin sharing your ideas now so we can prepare for it, and if needed, organize some meeting programs and/or workshops to get everyone ready for the challenge!

We value your input and encourage you to participate.

Kabela Design's Bead Challenge

During our November meeting we had Beth and her husband from Kabela Designs join us and run our our November program. Each member in attendance that evening received a bag of products and had 45 minutes to make something. Beth generously donated the grab bags and awarded prizes for the Most Unique Finished Piece and Best Use of Products. She also offered 20% off any Kabela purchase made that evening at the meeting.

We are pleased to announce that Kabela Designs will be running our program again next November--so if you missed them, they will be back! In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about them, or purchase products from them, you can do so at
