Our Vision: Learning and Growing in Christ
Dear Parents and Caregivers
The opening line of Sunday’s Gospel says 'The tax collectors and sinners were all seeking the company of Jesus to hear what he had to say...’ There was a sense of longing and openness within them to receive his words because they were not condemning or beyond their reach. He reassured them that his place was their place.
As the Gospel unfolds Jesus tells the story of the Prodigal Son who found himself in a place among the pigs, hungry and alone. He comes to his senses and returns to his Father and because the father of the story is so gracious towards him he finds himself in the most comforting and reassuring of places, his loving embrace next to his heart.
That is the gift being offered to us this 4th week of Lent, often called Laetare Sunday, a day to rejoice. Sharing such intimacy with the Father is certainly something to 'rejoice' in. We are invited to come to our senses, humbly acknowledge our sinfulness and return to our Father. His heart is always available to us. (adapted with thanks from Fr Chris Skinner’s blog)
Let us continue to remember and pray for those caught up in the horror of war. May they be strengthened by the knowledge that the world stands in solidarity with them.
God’s Blessings on your week.
Welcome to Our Place
Congratulations to Zion Sofele who received the Catholic Character Award this week.
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents
The term continues to fly by rapidly and hopefully the weather will continue to be dry and warm until the end of term. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back at school for Holy Week.
There are some minor changes to the red traffic light system but nothing that will have a major impact on our school procedures. At this stage we plan to continue with our safety plan until the end of term to ensure our school community continues to be a safe environment for everyone.
We will try to arrange Syndicate Masses before the end of term and if the weather continues to be warm and fine we will have some whole school liturgies outside under the canopy to celebrate Holy Week.

Please ensure these are returned by Friday 25 March 2022 as we still have some contact details missing from our database.
We would also remind families to ensure that details are updated if any changes occur. It is also vitally important that the school is informed if you wish to allow your child to be collected by any person who is not listed on your form as a contact.

There are fees associated with playing in these teams which will need to be paid prior to the start of the competition in Term 2.
