THANK YOU to all of our parents who attended our Back to School Nights in person and virtually. We know that families are busy and so we continue to vary our formats in our efforts to find model that meets the needs of parents with students in a wide range of grade levels. We value the relationship between home and school and love opportunities to foster positive connections between students, parents and teachers.

We are also grateful for this Friday's noon dismissal which provides our faculty and staff additional time to grow, learn and collaborate with one another. Our own professional development is essential to our ability to continue to provide all of our students with their own opportunities to grow and learn.

2021 Silent Auction Opportunities

We are accepting donations for our annual silent auction! Popular silent auction items include: *Timeshares *Sports Memorabilia *Themed Baskets *Man Cave / She Shed items *Sports and Entertainment tickets *Gift Cards *Company Products and Services.

Please also consider those antique, unique items that might be collecting dust in your basement, or last year’s unopened Christmas gift. These items are part of what makes our fall silent auction so unique, memorable and fun!

Senora Patrica is asking for any pictures of loved ones that have passed away, she will be collecting them now for their Day of the Dead Rememberance in Spanish class. Every year Senora Patricia remembers them with a beautiful display outside the Spanish classorom. She teaches the students about what this day means. You can start sending in pictures now until October 1. The students will be praying for these family members the whole month of October in Spanish class. Thank you for your help!

This past Saturday dozens of Scouts had fun at our annual Water Bottle Rocket Launch.

The Scouts decorated their 2-liter bottles, added fins, filled them with water and then blasted them off into the sky!

Cub Scout Pack 351, which has been serving the area since 1959, has 48 Scouts and is accepting new scouts.

Greetings Bobcat Family!!

After a year off, we are so happy to announce IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!!!!! Yes, St. Charles Oktoberfest, Sept 24th, 25th and 26th!!!!

Our St. Charles Oktoberfest is one of most fun, FUNdraisers of the year, and the proceeds directly benefit SCB and our student community as a whole, not only in the short term, but the future. After a year off, we are back in Frontier Park this year and looking forward to a fun and profitable event!

Just a reminder, 15% of Sales, 100% TIPS, and $1.00 for every stein sold goes to St. Charles Borromeo!

It’s a fun weekend for a great cause, and our success is because of YOU! Please sign up to take a single shift, or if your schedule allows, multiple. And don't forget--spread the word! The more we sell, the more we earn! This is a great event and fun for all!! We are looking for help to set up our booth, stock it, and of course, help sling all those frost cold beverages! It is well know that the Borromeo booth has the COLDEST beverages in the park!

This event fills up FAST, is a great way to meet Borromeo families, and after the year we've had, its a great way to get together agin as a parish family!! Oh, and did I mention....... (Free beer!!!)

The St. Charles Borromeo Home and School Association coordinates many events throughout the year to support our school. Your help is needed to make these projects successful. Volunteering is not only rewarding, but also a great way to meet other families. We ask that each family volunteer for at least two events IN ADDITION to the Parish Picnic and Fish Fry. Please review the events listed in the link below and sign up under the ones that work best for you and your schedule. As the event nears, the chairperson of that event will contact you about the specific times and duties involved. Thank you in advance for your valuable time and support.

In addition to the attached events, each half day (once per month) lunch is provided for the faculty. This year a different grade will be responsible for providing the staff lunch each month. A separate sign-up link will be sent to the appropriate grade when it is their responsibility.

Please note that there are two events that are required by all:

Parish Picnic

Dates: October 1-3, 2021

The Parish Picnic is one the of the Parish and School’s biggest fundraisers each year. During this weekend of fellowship, each school family is expected to volunteer for at least one shift at a Home and School Association booth. As we get closer to the Picnic, a sign-up link will be created and sent to everyone to choose a specific shift. We also ask that all families consider bringing a dessert for the Chicken and Roast Beef dinner on Sunday. Families may also be asked to cover additional shifts if you belong to other ministries or organizations in the Parish as well.

Fish Fries

Each family is asked to work two shifts at our Lenten Fish Fries. A sign-up link will be sent to everyone as Lent approaches to pick the Friday and time that works best for you.

We are excited to give you the opportunity to purchase additional items from our on-line Spirit Wear store!

The store never closes but order cut offs are the 1st and 15th of every month. School Delivery will then be after the 8th and 22nd of every month.

If you have any items you would like to see added to our collection PLEASE let us know so tht we can work with our spirt wear reps to offer them.


THANK YOU for your continued support in keeping our building healthy! Don't forget to bring water bottles and masks to school each day. Some of our primary kiddos have a difficult time keeping paper masks on the right way. If you have cloth ones they are comfortable they tend to do a better job with those. PLEASE also remember to ensure masks get cleaned and washed on a regular basis.

THANK YOU to everyone who completed our google survey to help us gain a more accurate count of families that need care outside of regular school hours. We have added a few additional staff members with hopes of more! If we have not already reached out to you specifically we will be reviewing our staff to child ratios on Tuesday to modify our sign-up genius link as needed. We are grateful for your continued patience.


LUNCH menus will traditionally be housed in our FACTS system. Our current AUGUST and SEPTEMBER menus can be found below. Please take note of the following updates from FOOD SERVICE CONSULTANTS, the company that provides are lunches. As noted, in our help wanted ad above we are in need of an additional person to assist with lunch. Until we have extra staff the menu will be limited to hot lunch options only.

Subject: Foodservice Program for 2021/2022

We are very excited and look forward to serving the St. Charles Borromeo School community again in the 2021/2022 school year. Please be assured we will continue to follow the CDC COVID-19 guidelines still in place.

A lunch account will be set up for each child/family this year. If you choose to participate, please make an initial deposit which will be credited to your child’s or family account. In typical times the meal card we use for your child will be kept by the homeroom teacher so that the card is not misplaced. To minimize contact we will not be taking cash at lunch. Any cash sent in will be deposited into your child’s, family’s account. Even if your child just purchases milk $5.00 put into their account would be great. The FACTS system records all deposits and purchases on your family’s account and tracks the balance daily. It will roll over from semester to semester and even year to year. If your child is graduating, the balance will be kept on your family card, or you may request a refund.

The initial check or deposit should be a minimum of $25.00 - $50.00, although we recommend that you do start with a little more. More funds can be added at any time by either sending in a check or going online and using the Pay Pal option. PayPal email address is The checks should be sent to the school office or given to the homeroom teacher, “attention cafeteria manager” and be made out to “Food Service Consultants”, or just “FSC”. To help us get started, we would appreciate receiving advance deposits before school starts. By doing so, we can have your child’s or family’s account set up and ready to use the first day of school. If not, please try and remember to send in the deposit during the first couple of days so we have enough time to get everyone in the system.

The menu will feature 2 main selections to choose from daily. They are the “Healthy Habits” hot lunch, or a cold lunch called “Grab & Go”. Your child will be able to select either of these menu items for their lunch that day. For the upper grades there will be a few ala carte menu items that will be made available for them to choose from as well. We will be participating in the Special Milk Program which allows us to offer milk for the students at a reduced price. The price for the 2021- 2022 school year is expected to be around $ .15 - $ .20 per carton.

We will be preparing a menu each month which will be posted on the school website. Portion sizes will be adjusted by class, especially for the older students. The pricing is as follows:

· All Grades - $4.00 with milk

· All Grades - $4.25 with 8 oz bottle water

· Extra Entrée - $1.50
