Featured Classrooms and Events!
Each month we highlight a classroom or group that strives to share our District's story with the community.
Ms. Erickson's Classroom Partners With Toys for Tots at NRHS
This month we have chosen to highlight Ms. Erickson's classroom at the New Richmond High School.
After having a handful of local guest speakers come into their Global Issues class to share about needs in the community, Ms. Erickson's students chose to focus their local service project on partnering with Toys for Tots to provide toys for children in our community. Students have also chosen to hold a food drive during this upcoming spring after learning that this is a time when food drive supplies become low.
Ms. Erickson and her students are pictured with some of the gifts they have collected at various school events so far this winter.
NRMS Classroom of the Month: Mrs. Markowski's Classroom Learns Computer Programming Through the Use of Drones

The Kindergarteners from Mrs. Eckardt's room--along with the 4th Graders from Mrs.Nadeau's/Mr. Hop's classroom gathered gifts for our Adopted Holiday Family during the last 2 weeks. This is the 14th year both classrooms have pooled their community spirit to help local families through the local Love Baskets Program. Both of these classrooms have also been Reading Buddies for just as long--- (14 Years!!)----meeting weekly to share in the joy of Reading.

Mrs. Averill's class is working on growing their kindergarten skills. Writing sentences is one of the areas where they are showing great growth and excitement to be learning. Helping each student learn to love writing is a goal in the classroom.
Mrs. Hoover's First Grade Class Participates in the Adopt A Cow Project at Starr
Mrs. Hoover's class adopted a cow through the Discover Dairy Program which is an interactive educational series that includes activities for Math, Science and Reading. The class is learning where milk comes from and how dairy farmers contribute to our world. The cow's host family is from Lancaster, Wisconsin, where they own and operate their farm called Orthridge Jerseys. The calf's name is Diva, and she was born on September 11th, 2022. Mrs. Hoover's class looks forward to their weekly activities from Discover Dairy, monthly pictures and updates from our host farm, as well as watching Diva grow!
