EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR
SUPPORT STAFF PERSON OF THE YEAR
Winter!
With student safety and their well-being in mind, our best practice includes only conducting indoor recess when weather conditions include precipitation. It is likely that students will participate in outdoor activities when cold temperatures are upon us.
Please consider this when your children head out the door in the morning. Winter coats, hats, and gloves will keep them comfortable as they play outside.
If your child is in need of a winter coat, please reach out to Mrs. Hackett-Slimm so she can help. Email: hackett-slimmj@harrisontwp.k12.nj.us
REPORT CARDS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE PARENT REALTIME PORTAL
Please read below and click on the link to access the full letter, directions, and links to access your student's report card through the Parent Portal online.
The purpose of this communication is to provide you with information on how to access your child’s report card as well as provide information that addresses report card grades for the first trimester.
To begin with, all parents and/or guardians will access their child’s school related data, including
progress reports, report cards, and attendance via the Realtime Parent Portal. Please be aware, all progress reports and report cards will be posted online via the Parent Portal. There will be NO paper copies distributed to parents and/or students. Trimester one report card grades will be viewable to parents/guardians on Friday, December 17th.
Click on the link to access the full letter with directions and links to access the Parent Portal.
If you have any questions regarding the report card, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher. THANK YOU
To Our Staff and Explorer Community:
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to our school families and community for the outpouring of support over the last few months.
When our community was hit with a devastating weather event- our community came TOGETHER.
When we asked for support in stocking our local food pantry- our community came TOGETHER.
When we sought out nurturing stuffed animals for little ones in foster care- our community, again, came TOGETHER.
When we collected socks for homeless shelters- our community came TOGETHER.
When we diligently purchased gift cards to support holiday happiness for others- our community came TOGETHER.
With holidays all around us, we thank each of you for not only supporting us in teaching your children the importance of giving but putting it into action. As Booker T. Washington shared "Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others."
For this and so much more, we are truly grateful for the learners under our wings, our families, and our community. Thank you for sharing these educational journeys with us.
Wishes for an amazing winter break and we look forward to an incredible January TOGETHER.
