Swimmer, Lexi Grant, Signs with BYU!
Congrats to our very own Lexi Grant who signed her letter of intent to swim at BYU on February 5 in front of family and friends at Walnut High School. Lexi is a CIF Champion, has a 3.0+ GPA, great teammate, student, and human being that makes Walnut a better place. Congrats on your scholarship to BYU Lexi! One of the most exciting moments for a student-athlete!

Walnut Girls Athletics at the Girls Got Game Conference!
Walnut Girls Athletics attends the Foothill Citrus Athletic Association Girls Got Game Conference on February 5th. The conference celebrates the successes of Women in Sports. Successful female athletes spoke about what inspired them to get to where they are today.

Walnut High School Summer Session 2020
Registration for non-tuition courses will open on Thursday, February 13th at 6:00 pm and end on Friday, February 21st at 12:00 am.
Class assignments will be posted by Sunday, February 23rd.
The following classes will tentatively be offered depending on enrollment:
- Civics/Economics (Class of 2021 Only) (Must take both classes)
- World History (Class of 2023 Only)
- Fundamentals of Art
- Music Appreciation
- Computer Aided Drafting and Design
- Geometry (Remediation only) (Must have received a “D” or an “F” in a Geometry class)
Tuition based classes will begin registering the week of February 24th. Please see the Dedicated to Learning website for more details (dedicated2learning.org)

The 2.5 year program requires no previous computer knowledge and provides students with foundations in Information Technology and Networking, as well as opportunities for highly sought after industry certifications. Art Competition for the PAC 20th Anniversary!
The Performing Arts Center is turning 20! There will be a gala celebrating 20 years of performing arts at WHS on Friday, April 3 at 7:00 PM. Be sure to save the date.
To celebrate, we are holding an art competition with the theme Celebrating the Arts: Past, Present, and Future. All current students and alumni are encouraged to submit their work.
Practice SAT Test at the Walnut Library!
Walnut Library will have a practice SAT Test and review in February. Any teen that would like to take the practice test should register at the library. The test is free.
IMPORTANT TESTING DATES:

- SBAC (11TH grade) - March 17, 19, 24 & 26
- CAST (11TH Grade) - March 31
- INTERIM ASSESSMENTS FOR 9TH & 10TH GRADE EL STUDENTS - March 16
