Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
Every year, our district solicits feedback from multiple stakeholders regarding instruction, operations, climate and other areas related to how our schools function. Students in 4th-12th grades give feedback based on their perspectives, and teachers are given the opportunity to share their thoughts as well. Our parents are also a very important stakeholder group in soliciting this feedback. As a building leader, hearing from our parents and families helps me understand what is working well and what areas need improvement. Our building leadership team analyzes responses from each group in order to celebrate successes and set goals for improvement. It is so important that we hear from our families so that we are able to set meaningful goals and address areas of concern. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts via the 5Essentials survey which is linked below. Your time and feedback is very much appreciated!!

Plastic Film Recycling News!
Audrey in Mr. Robinson's 5th grade class writes:
Corron students and staff have been collecting plastic and bringing it into school so we can recycle it. So far this year we have collected and recycled 1,063 lbs. We have already reached our goal of recycling 1,000 lbs and have won a bench that is made from recycled plastic. Our new goal is 2,000 lbs. before the end of this school year. Please send in plastic film with your student and Mr. Robinson's class will recycle it. We have helped the environment so much and are going to help even more. We have really helped reduce the amount of plastic pollution in our world. Great job and keep up the amazing work!
February 29th Conferences
On Thursday, February 29th, all elementary students in D303 will have a half-day of school due to our Spring parent-teacher conferences. These conferences serve a different purpose than our Fall goal-setting conferences. Spring conferences provide teachers the opportunity to connect with families of students that currently need additional support in some area. The February 29 conferences have a much shorter time frame of 12:30 to 3:20. This means that teachers will only be able to meet with a few families that afternoon. Your child’s teacher will be sending a letter home with either a request to meet or a message stating that a conference is not necessary at this time.
Due to the 11:30 dismissal, students will not have lunch at school that day. All classrooms will take a snack break at some point in the morning.
Please read the attached information on the the 5Essentials survey. Click the link to take the survey.
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
