Climate
The Arctic the really cold biome with animals that have to adapt in the cold by having layers of blubber/fat to stand the cold.The Arctic is located in the North Pole.
The Arctic have plants that are coated with hair or wax to keep warm.The temperature in the Arctic is -40 degrees celcius in january and in winter it can drop to -50 degrees celcius over large parts of the Arctic.
Animals
ermine
The Ermines are carnivor (eat meat),they eat mice,squirrels,rabbit and hares.
The Ermine preys are owls.
The Males are larger than the females
the ermines can live up to 4 to 7 years
Arctic wolf
The Arctic Woves have powerful jaws and sharp teeth to rip into the flesh and crush the bones of the animals they captured.
they're able to walk on frozen ground due to their feet designed.
Orca (killer whale)
The Killer whale is reffered to orca
The orca is th fastest marine mammal is one of the most powerful predators on earth.
They eat fish,seals,sea lions,dolpin,peguin,squid and whales such as the blue whales.

The snow helps the CottonGrass insulate (to prevent heat loss).
The wind blows the seed to help the growth of the CottonGrass.
The CottonGrass has a short life cycle due to the short growing season.
The Artic Poppy
The Arctic poppy can grow 10 to 15cm height.
The whole plant is covered in black hair to give a warning to predators to stay away.
The plants has a low level of toxic to warn predators to not eat it.
Th Actic poppy is white,this is a adaptation because it camouflages in the eviroment.
This adaptation is a structural adaptation.
The Arctic Willow
The Arctic Willow is a dwarf shurb.
This plant can manufacture it own pesticides to protect it from insects.
They grow near the ground to avoid the cold wind.
The Arctic Willow spread all over the ground like a carpet.
This adaptation allows it to gain heat energy from the soil.
The Arctic Willow's
leaves turn's red in late summer.
