Cleaning Ipads
“Here is Apple's official way of cleaning iPad screens. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204172 Please do not use any cleaners like Clorox wipes or windex. These types of products will destroy the coating on the displays over time and cause the touch sensitivity to diminish. If these types of products are used they can void the iPads warranty.”

FREE STEM PD with STIPEND
IU13 is excited to offer menu of *FREE* STEM summer professional development opportunities made possible by IU13’s Math Science Partnership Grant (PULSE 2.0). These offerings are at no cost to participants and stipends will be awarded for attendance. The events are open to public and non-public teachers who teach grades K-8 in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Participants may choose to attend as many of the events as they wish. To view a full listing of the summer STEM opportunities, please click here.
F&M Student Survey
In May, the SDoL will conduct a survey of all students in grades three through twelve.
This is a confidential survey with questions about students’ perception of their school, their functioning and development, and their academic goals. The survey also asks secondary students about their behavior and knowledge concerning alcohol, other drugs, and violence. This survey is similar to the one administered in May 2017. Having a survey each year allows us to measure any changes that occur over time. The results are being used to evaluate programs that the SDoL offers, including Title I, Extended Day Programs, GEAR UP, School Climate Transformation, and School Counseling.
On March 5, information will be mailed to parents/guardians informing them of this survey and their right to review the survey and opt their child out of participating.
Parents who do not want their child to participate will notify the SDoL. Student participation in the survey is strictly voluntary. Students may choose not to complete the survey, not to answer any individual question, or to stop answering questions at any time; however, this survey is confidential and students should be encouraged to participate. A copy of the parent letter and a sample of the survey are available for review at www.lancaster.k12.pa.us/student-survey.
Survey packets for each teacher will be delivered to your school three to five days prior to the survey administration.
Packets will include: instructions on how to administer the survey, class rosters generated from e-School Plus+, surveys, and pencils. Any student whose parent chose to opt-out their child will be noted accordingly in the packet. Teachers will also be provided return envelopes in order to return surveys directly to the research team at Franklin & Marshall. The research team will monitor returns.
A calendar invite has been sent with the day that the surveys MUST be administered at Wickersham
