We live on the planet Earth, when people think about our planet I bet most of them say this " most of it is covered in water, it has one moon, it has four seasons summer, fall, winter, and spring and go's around the sun." What I'm getting at is that some people never get into detail about these sort of things (ex: The Earth is made 71% of water). shore they might know how to explain simple things like day and night are caused by the rotation of the Earth on its axis (rotation: when something stuck to one spot moves in a circular motion on its axis an invisible line going straight through the middle) and that it takes 24 hours (23 hours and 56 minuets to be paresis) to make a full rotation or that the earth revolves around the sun (revolution: when one object moves around another in a circular motion) and that it takes 365 days (1 year) and that the seasons are caused by the sun (obviously) and the Earths axis because it is tilted at a degrees of 23.5. Some people never even knew that because are planets axis is tilted the northern and southern hemispheres always experience opposite seasons (ex: north hemisphere summer, south hemisphere winter) our that the equator doesn't get seasons because it is in the middle of the Earth so it is not affected by the Earths axis. Our that the days for the summer month are longer and the days for the winter month are shorter, our what the summer and winter solstices or the spring and fall equinox are. The summer and winter solstices are the longest day and short's day of the year and their dates are June 21st and Dec. 21st and the spring and fall equinox are when day and night are equal and the happen on March 21st and September 21st. Our that during summer its daylight all day in the north pole because the axis points it straight to the sun and in the south pole during the summer their is no sun light because the axis points it away and in equator the days and nights are usually equal because it is in the middle of the planets surface and is not affected by the axis. All in all are planet is the way it is because of the axis's tilt it affects the seasons it affects the north and south hemisphere and the equator. With out are axis's tilt Earth would not be the planet we know it as to day.
One thing that could happen if the Earths axis was tilted would be that the seasons would be greatly changed. I'm not really shore my best guess would be a solar eclipse but besides that I'm not shore. My guess is that if we were closer to the sun the duration of the seasons would be one of the majeure changes because if we were closer to the sun the Earths revolution around it would be shorter and so would the seasons. Did you know that the seasons affect your shadow (obviously) because of the position of the Earth to the sun our that animals and plants can tell the changing of seasons by the temperature.
