How to Help Students Get Ready for WIDA ACCESS Testing

Also, have students try the sample items at their grade level. Make sure they know that they can pause the speaking test to think about their answer before continuing. You might want to have them rehearse recording an answer, clicking the pause button, thinking about adding more details to their answer, recording additional comments, then clicking stop only when they are sure they're done. Once they hit the stop button, they cannot add anything else to their answer.
