ACTIVITIES AND RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS AND PARENTS TO ENCOURAGE POSITIVE SELF-TALK
What do you say to yourself? We all have the negative voice in our head that tells us everything we do wrong or perceived wrong. But we also have a positive voice that we need to listen to far more than the negative thoughts and "what ifs". Try to give your attention to the positive and affirming thoughts about yourself and not the negative ones. You will be surprised how much better you will feel. Check out these positive self talks, affirmations and growth mindset activities, print them for free. (Click the Image)
What is in Your Toolbox?
Just Add Water
Need a pick me up? Run a bath, take a shower, water the garden, water the plants! Get outside and find a stream, a lake, a puddle, stand in the rain, have a hot drink, have a cold drink, splash your face, cry it out, laugh until you cry, go through the car wash, put your feet in the ocean, smell the salt water, envision a stream in the mountains, the options are limitless. Just add water....It works 99% of the time.

Ocean City School District Celebrates #SELday
Finding Common Ground, Pursuing Common Good!
This year we are proud to celebrate our 2nd annual #SELday here in each of our schools. Our mental health and wellness teams have week long activities and celebrations planned focusing on wellness, advocating for SEL, and spreading the message of finding common ground and pursuing common good! How can your family help? Talk about the importance of social and emotional learning in your home! Commit to acts of service and kindness towards others. Engage in creativity together. Take care of yourself and each other. Establish routines and promote good body health and good health for your mind. We are all in this together!
