Kindergarten 2019-20
Do you have a child or know someone with a child starting kindergarten in the fall? We are now taking kindergarten information for the 2019-20 school year for children who will be five years old on or before July 31 this year.
Enrollment and verification will begin April 1, 2019. Information will be located on the Park Hill website, www.parkhill.k12.mo.us under parent resources. Please note that current UC families with an incoming kindergartener will add this child to your parent portal during the verification process; you will not complete the enrollment process, only the verification process.
Kindergarten round-up will be Monday, April 29, 2019 with three sessions at 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30pm. Please contact Susan Sadler in the UC office at 816.359.4310 to schedule a round-up session or for questions regarding the enrollment/verification process. Please click here for more information.
Union Chapel Science Fair
The Science Fair is a NON-competitive event and involves as few rules and requirements as possible. Our goal is for students to have fun learning about a science topic of their choice and to give them an opportunity to show what they’ve learned.
Union Chapel students are invited to be a part of the Science Fair on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
All 5th grade students will participate in the Science Fair as a part of their grade-level expectations and will receive a packet of information on February 15th.
All K-4 students may participate, but it is not a requirement K-4 students can pick up a packet from the Union Chapel office.
Student Information Feedback Sheet
The Park Hill School District assigns students to their next year classes through collaborative efforts of the current classroom teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal. When applicable, special education teachers and/or intervention specialists also provide input.
If you would like to offer input for your child's learning needs, you can find the form here. Please print the form, complete it, and return it to your child’s current classroom teacher no later than Friday, March 29, 2019.
Building A Resilient Community
Park Hill School District, Synergy Services, and Tri-County Mental Health Services are partnering with Pine Ridge Church to offer vital information at no cost on current mental health topics in order to understand and help our community members and youth.

Park Hill Stars
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy. Recently, PHSD Superintendent Dr. Jeanette Cowherd visited Union Chapel to congratulate three staff members who were nominated by parents and students. Pictures of these visits are below.

The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
