Attention TK/K Families

The TK and K teachers have been noticing some inappropriate play during recess and lunch. They've also observed that some students and younger siblings are playing unsafely while being supervised by parents after school--climbing up slides, jumping from the play structure, swinging unsafely on railings, etc. They fear that by not having the same playground expectations at all times of the day, children are beginning to play unsafely during the school day. We ask that if you choose to play after school, you closely monitor your children and make sure they are playing safely and following school rules on the equipment. If you have a question about the rules don't hesitate to ask! Thank you so much for helping to support safety at school.

Portola & Enos Crosswalk Improvements & Construction

We are pleased to let our Lawrence community know that the Portola and Enos crosswalk project is now at 95% design, with the final design to be completed this month. The construction phase is tentatively set to begin in April and finished by September of 2023.

This safer crossing and flashing beacons will help to slow down traffic along Portola, while improving the safety and visibility of our walking and rolling community. If you are a resident within a 1/4 mile of the crosswalk, you will also receive a fact sheet from the City as a part of their community outreach within the next two weeks. Please also take a look at the project here on the City's website.

Thank you for the many efforts from our community members who have helped advocate for this crosswalk enhancement, LVJUSD Trustee Kristie Wang, the Livermore City Council, the Livermore Police Department, the Livermore Engineering Department, and Alameda County Safe Routes to School.

Our Custodian, Miss Mary, is retiring!

Our amazing daytime custodian, Miss Mary, will be retiring on Friday, March 31. We cannot thank her enough for her extraordinary contributions to our campus community! However, we would like to give our labrador families the opportunity to donate to a school-wide retirement gift! Your donations will go toward various gift cards local to her new home in Kansas.

If you wish to make cards or write letters of thanks, we will collect them to present to her on her last day. There will be an envelope in the office. Drop it off with Erin or Revecca, and they will be sure to put it in our envelope for Miss Mary. Donations, cards, and letters will be collected through Wednesday, March 20.

Online donations can be made by clicking here:
