Challenge for the Week...

We have lots of new staff members here at Park Street. Your challenge for this week is to go and meet someone new! Strike up a conversation and get to know a new member of the team.

My goal for this week is to learn all our 1st grade students' names. I learned our kindergarten babies this week and I hope to add a new grade level each week. I may miss my "good mornings," because I will be learning names.

Curriculum Night

Our goal for Curriculum Night this year is to increase our Family Engagement and make their time valuable and worthwhile; this is tied to our Vision Statement: "Engaging with the community and creating students of excellence."

Please see Heather's email regarding what to plan for Curriculum Night. The schedule and a picture of rotations is below. We will use a similar punch card system as Sneak-A-Peek. We will have a free hot dog dinner for families, bus transportation for families in the apartments, and "mini job fair" with business accepting job applications for our parents that may be seeking employment.

K/1 teachers, please encourage your parents to visit the Phonics session.

Thanks to the Education First Fund we received a donation of $500.00 today. If you are buying a home or know of someone buying/selling a home, please consider using Education First. They donate $500 from any sale back to the school for your classroom directly, or to your area of choice, and another $250 to our Principal's account (which we use to buy food and gifts for staff). Below are the links for more information.
